From genetics to herd health, you’ve spent countless hours making management decisions to improve the value of your calves. Each one of these decisions is an investment that directly affects the profitability of your operation. Now it’s time to communicate the value of your calves to buyers.

Where value meets visibility

AngusLink® provides a way to increase visibility to your calf crop and give buyers purchasing confidence with AngusVerifiedSM and the Genetic Merit Scorecard®. Enrolling in these programs helps you connect the documented management practices with buyers who are looking for calves that fit their purchasing needs.

Beyond the recognition that is provided by AngusVerified and the Genetic Merit Scorecard, you can opt to participate in AngusLink marketing during enrollment at no additional cost. No matter where you sell your calves, AngusLink marketing helps increase visibility through targeted promotion and digital avenues:

  • Video sale promotion: Enrolled lots marketed through video auctions are highlighted with program logos in sale book listings on video company websites and on-screen sale promotion (see Fig. 1).
  • Find Cattle: The “Find Cattle” page lists featured enrolled lots for sale. Buyers can browse this page on the www.angus.org  website to explore upcoming sales (see Fig. 2) and review genetic merit scores on enrolled lots (see Fig. 3). Following the sale, lot prices are added to showcase enrolled lots in the marketplace. Designed to provide each enrollment with sale-book-style listing, the “Find Cattle” page gives local sale barns and individual consignors an additional resource for promoting their lots.
  • Email: An e-blast sent each Monday to more than 800 cattle feeders and buyers highlights enrolled cattle, providing details on when and where enrolled AngusLink cattle will be selling.
  • Social Media: Social Media preview posts provide additional exposure for lots enrolled in upcoming sales. These posts provide ready-to-share promotional content that can be shared with your audience and ours.

Make every touch point count

Marketing your genetics requires multiple touch points to reach buyers. You have done the work to add value through investments in genetics, herd health and management decisions. AngusLink is here to help make sure that value is recognized at the time of marketing, giving your calves the visibility and recognition they deserve.
