Whether she’s attending conferences, competing in contests or exhibiting cattle, Jeffries says the relationships she has built through the NJAA are what she values most.

“The thing I love most about being in the NJAA is how everyone can compete against each other in any contest, but at the end come together as one big Angus family,” she says.

Outside of Angus activities, Jeffries stays busy playing tennis, attending church events and participating in school activities. The variety of interests reflects the same enthusiasm she brings to the Angus breed.

For younger members just beginning their NJAA journey, Jeffries encourages them to embrace new experiences.

“Always reach outside of your comfort zone, even if you’re scared,” she says.

It’s a lesson Jeffries has applied throughout her own junior career. Whether she’s behind the camera, at a leadership conference or in the show barn, she is making the most of every opportunity the NJAA has to offer. As Jeffries continues her journey in the Angus breed, those experiences will continue to shape the leader and cattlewoman she is becoming.
