BEHIND THE BRAND
Beef on a Mission
What’s on the calendar?

This month, Certified Angus Beef (CAB) licensees and partners from across the beef industry will gather in Marco Island, Fla., for our Annual Conference — the largest and most influential event we host each year.
As the premier gathering of the brand’s community, it brings together Angus farmers and ranchers, feeders, packers, processors, exporters, distributors, retailers and restaurant partners from around the world. We come from different places, play different roles and bring different perspectives, but we share a common purpose: growing demand for the brand.
Each year, the conference serves as a powerful reminder of how connected we all are. Success at every stage depends on the commitment and performance of others throughout the supply and merchandising chain. Few organizations can bring together every link of the value chain in one place, creating a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, and align on a common goal to collectively grow brand relevance for each stakeholder and segment of the business.
For Angus producers, represented primarily by CAB and American Angus Association Board members and current Supply Development award recipients, Annual Conference provides a meaningful look at where your commitment to quality goes after cattle leave the ranch. It brings your work into direct conversation with the people who market, merchandise, sell and serve the beef your genetics make possible. Just as importantly, it gives our partners the opportunity to better understand the families behind the cattle, our shared values, the decisions made on the ranch and the commitment to quality that begins long before a steak reaches a consumer’s plate.
Admittedly, most Angus producers are likely not aware of this event because it is intentionally designed for our licensed partners, who represent the majority of attendees (approximately 700 total.) The content is focused on helping them navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead, while identifying ways to grow CAB sales.
Through market insights, brand updates, business strategies and practical marketing resources, attendees leave better equipped to succeed in their businesses. The objective is simple: help our partners sell more CAB. When they succeed, demand grows for CAB-qualified carcasses and the Angus genetics producers work so hard to deliver.
Honoring excellence
Annual Conference is also a time to recognize excellence. Each year, we present more than 160 awards celebrating outstanding achievements in sales, marketing, supply development and brand support. These recognitions honor accomplishments and inspire partners to set new goals and pursue even greater success in the year ahead.
You can read more about the supply development award winners in next month’s Angus Journal.
Yes, the meals are memorable. The beef is exceptional. The energy in the room is real. But all of that serves a larger purpose. We want every attendee to leave better informed, better connected and more motivated to grow the brand.
The beef business is not short on challenges. Tight supplies, higher prices, labor pressures and changing consumer expectations affect every segment differently. Annual Conference gives us a place to face those realities together while reminding one another why quality continues to matter. The Certified Angus Beef ® brand was built because Angus producers believed better beef could create greater value. That belief still guides us today.
That is why we gather. To learn. To improve. To celebrate what is working. And to strengthen the community that helps advance the mission of this brand every day.
Tune in next month for insights into why the brand owns a farm and how it helps us tell your story while building a more connected beef community.
