Educational Sessions Planned for Commercial Cattlemen’s Day at National Western Stock Show
Commercial Cattlemen’s Day, hosted by ABS, will take place Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at the National Western Stock Show in the Yards Sale Arena.

Commercial Cattlemen’s Day, hosted by ABS, will take place Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at the National Western Stock Show in the Yards Sale Arena. Supported by industry partners, including the Colorado Angus Association, the event will feature a series of educational sessions focused on “Adding Value in a Competitive Market.”
Troy Marshall, director of commercial industry relations for the American Angus Association, will open the sessions at 10 a.m. with “Tools to Differentiate Your Calf Crop” and will join the 11:45 a.m. panel discussion on “Differentiating Yourself in the Market.”
Additional sessions include:
- 10:30 a.m. — “Capitalizing on Value with Zinpro” by Clay Burson, Zinpro
- 11:00 a.m. — “Optimizing Cowherd Efficiencies” by Ryan Rathmann, Texas Tech University
- 11:45 a.m. — Panel discussion on “Differentiating Yourself in the Market”, moderated by Kevin Oschsner, featuring Troy Marshall, Jason Hoffman, Rich Machado and Steve Gable
The Maternal Merit Elite Commercial Bred Heifer Sale will take place at 2 p.m. in Wagner Equipment Auction Arena.
