The Angus Foundation is currently seeking applications for the 2026 Young Cattlemen’s Conference (YCC) scholar. This conference is a leadership development program designed to prepare the next generation of beef industry advocates and decision-makers.

Hosted by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), YCC offers a rare opportunity for young cattlemen and women to experience the beef industry from every angle. During the trip, participants will travel from Denver, through major beef production and processing hubs, and conclude in Washington, D.C., where they will engage in policy discussions that shape the future of the industry.

During YCC attendees will visit feedyards, packing plants, retail outlets and research facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities facing beef producers today. The program culminates on Capitol Hill, where participants meet with lawmakers and advocate for issues critical to cattle producers.

“YCC equips young leaders with the knowledge and connections they need to make a lasting impact in their communities and across the beef industry,” says Jaclyn Boester, Angus Foundation executive director. “Through the generosity of our donors, we’re proud to sponsor an Angus breeder each year to represent.”
