AMERICAN ANGUS ASSOCIATION - THE BUSINESS BREED

AUXILIARY NOTES

A New Season

Exciting events for the spring and summer.

May 27, 2025

With spring comes new beginnings and hope for the future. We look forward to the blooms of daffodils, surprise of baby birds in the nests and the relief from brutal cold temperatures. There is an abundance of graduations, excitement for new babies and lots of birthdays to celebrate. So much newness surrounds us.

With spring also comes annual cattle shows where our youth engage with their peers, as well as seasoned cattle ranchers. We can watch as generations team up for the betterment of the breed and the beef industry.

As I’m reflecting upon the Western National Angus Futurity Cattle Show, I realize I am proud to be a part of an organization that takes so much pride in pouring into our youth. Encouraging our younger members to not only learn, but to be involved, engaged and determined.

The members of the American Angus Auxiliary are excited to be a small part of watching these youth turn into industry leaders. As spring comes — with summer right behind — we would encourage the junior breeders to be involved with as many contests as possible at the National Junior Angus Show. We look forward to watching their skill sets grow in and out of the ring.

As we see summer on the horizon, remember to check those deadlines and ask questions if you have them. We are a team, and we want to see everyone succeed.
