The Angus Foundation is gearing up to host its annual silent auction during the 2026 National Junior Angus Show (NJAS) in Louisville, Ky., July 13–17. As preparations begin for this year’s “Bases Loaded in the Bluegrass” offering, the Angus Foundation is seeking donation lots from Angus supporters, farms, companies and state junior Angus associations.

Proceeds from the auction help grow unrestricted support for the Angus Fund, advancing the Angus Foundation’s mission to strengthen the Angus breed through education, youth leadership development and research initiatives.

The annual Angus Foundation silent auction will be hosted July 13-17, at the National Junior Angus Show in Louisville, Ky. Extended bidding will start at 4 p.m.,  EST on Friday the 17th. Online bidding will be offered through AngusLive.

“For over 30 years, the silent auction has raised money to support scholarships, leadership events and research that make a meaningful difference for the Angus breed,” says Jaclyn Boester, Angus Foundation executive director. “We’re excited to bring the event to Louisville and look forward to seeing the creativity and generosity of this year’s donors.”

Donation examples include artwork, gift baskets, cattle supplies, apparel, handcrafted items, unique experiences and Angus collectibles. Items of all kinds are welcome.

The state junior Angus association that donates the highest‑selling lot will receive a $250 donation to their association. This incentive encourages states to step up to the plate and help make the 2026 auction a grand slam.

Past auctions have featured one‑of‑a‑kind offerings, including vintage publications, framed prints, wine collections and outdoor accessories. Each year provides a mix of unique and practical items that appeal to bidders of all ages.

This year’s silent auction will be available both in person at the Pavilion trade show at the Kentucky Exposition Center and online through AngusLive. Lots will be posted prior to NJAS, offering supporters nationwide an opportunity to bid, even if they can’t join the fun in Louisville.

To donate an item, contact Kris Sticken (ksticken@angus.org) or Jimmy Stickley (jstickley@angus.org). For more information about the Angus Foundation silent auction, visit www.angus.org/foundation.
