Stan Prox has been involved in the beef business for more than 60 years, showing his first calf when he was 10.

As manager and co-owner of Vega Farms, he, his father-in-law and brother-in-law formed Shilo Farms in 1966. He served as president of the Illinois Angus Association, served on the selection committee for the Angus Heritage Foundation, was the first recipient of the Illinois Angus Association President’s Award, and was the Land of Lincoln Purebred Breeders’ Association 2011 Man of the Year.
