Albert Gore Sr.

Tennessee native Albert Gore Sr. served his country for more than 30 years in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. After leaving the Senate, he resumed his law practice, taught at Vanderbilt University and continued breeding Angus cattle. He and his wife had two children, Nancy LaFon Gore and Al Gore Jr., who served as vice president of the United States from 1993-2001 and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
