A native of northwest Missouri, Wilson started his career at the American Angus Association in 1969 and served as the organization’s chief financial officer. He introduced the budgeting process to the Association early in his career and designed a budgeting program to follow, allowing the organization the financial security it needed to lead the beef cattle industry.
