In 1935, Weaver co-founded Weaver Angus Farm in Peoria, Ill., where he later hosted the first Illinois Junior Angus field day in 1965. He has continued to serve as a positive influence for the breed ever since. The Weavers have exhibited a grand champion at the National Western Stock Show every decade since the 1960s.
