The Missouri Junior Angus Association’s first president in 1956, which was the first junior association formed, Sydenstricker, of Mexico, Mo., continued his leadership role within the breed. He is a founding partner in ORIgen Inc. and received the 2001 Beef Improvement Federation Seedstock Producer of the Year award. He also served on the American Angus Association and the Missouri Angus Association boards.
