Bontecou promoted purebred Angus cattle for more than 60 years at Rally Farms in New York. Established by his father, Sen. Frederic Bontecou, in 1929, their cattle were marketed and shown across the country, including the 1982 grand champion bull in Denver, Colo. A New York Angus Association past president, Jesse served two terms as an American Angus Association director.
