Harvey and Nina Lemmon

Angus cattle are a way of life for Harvey & Nina Lemmon, Woodbury, Ga. Harvey started as a youth involved in junior Angus programs in Virginia, and in 1988 he served as president of the American Angus Association. The Lemmons use artificial insemination and embryo transfer in their program, applying good recordkeeping, tough selection pressure, and analysis of performance data and expected progeny differences. The Lemmons’ sons were raised in junior programs, and they continue to support Angus youth. In 2005, they donated a heifer to the Angus Auxiliary to be sold to raise funds for the Auxiliary’s scholarship fund.
