He is the third generation of the Pierce family of Creston, Ill., to receive induction into the Angus Heritage Foundation. He is the son of Stanley and the grandson of B.R., who established the Woodlawn Farms, on of the nation’s oldest Angus herds, in 1881. He judged major cattle shows across the United States and Canada. As well, he showed 15 conservative Pen Bull Championships at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. He served as president of the American Angus Association in 1959, and he was the final president of the International Livestock Show held in Chicago.
