Born in Van Wert County, Ohio, his work in academia established him as a leader in the worldwide livestock industry. He received degrees from the Ohio State University, Kansas State University of Minnesota, and served 40 years on staff at Kansas State, including 20 years as head of the Department of Animal Sciences and Industry. He judged countless livestock shows ans supported carcass evaluation as part of market animal shows. Good and his Family operate an Angus herd near Olsburg, Kan.
