An Angus cattle enthusiast, promoter, state Angus leader, and a strong advocate testing and National Sire Evaluation. He helped build one of the largest Angus herds in the U.S. before his death in 1994 at age 51. At his Basin Angus Ranch near Kolin, Montana, he bred some internationally known sires.
