On the American Angus Association public relations staff from 1958 to 1978, and its director for 10 years, Snyder wrote and preached that registered Angus breeders must serve the commercial beef producer. He organized the Challenge of the Future Tours, planned the second World Angus Forum in 1971 and helped get an Angus U.S. postage stamp printed in the 1973 Centennial Year.
