A pioneer in beef cattle performance evaluation from Bozeman, Montana, Davis helped developed the Montana performance evaluation program in the mid 1950s. A member of the American Angus Association board of directors (1973-80), he helped develop the Angus Performance Pedigree. He developed Rollin’ Rock Angus Herd and later Angus PAPA at Belgrade.
