Official artist of the American Angus Association for more than 40 years, Murphy designed all of the Association’s advertising from the early 1950’s through 1983. His ads won numerous awards, including first place form the American Advertising Federation and first from the National Agri-Marketing Association. His painting of the first Angus brought to America was used in the 1973 first-class postage stamp that honored the centennial of Angus in the United States.
