Director of member services for the American Angus Association, Painter started with the Association when the office was moved to Saint .Joseph from Chicago I June of 1956. Started then as a supervisor, he was named office manager in 1958, and in 1978 director of member services. He has been responsible for many of the Associations programs, including the one day turn-around time for most work entering the office.
