This Miami, Oklahoma, native is a third generation Angus breeder that held active leadership roles in both the state and national Angus organizations. He served as president of the Oklahoma Angus Association in 1964, served two terms on the American Angus Association board of directors, and was elected its president in 1973. He also served as chairman of the World Angus Forum held in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1973. Fullerton followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather in breeding sound, practical cattle that would fit the needs of both the resisted and commercial breeder in the Southwest.
