This native of Raymond, South Dakota, joined the American Angus Association in 1957 as director of the new junior activities department. Helped organize the first National Junior Angus Showmanship Contest in 1967 and the first National Junior Angus Show in 1969. In 1973, he was named director of activities and was instrumental in developing the Association’s Roll of Victory show program.
