Brothers lee and Les helped develop one of the most successful U.S. Angus herds in the 1950 and 60s at Ankony Farm, Rhinebeck, New York. Under their supervision, Ankony showed many International Livestock Exposition and National Western Stock Show grand champions. Their success in the Ten Head Class at the International emphasized the importance of producing outstanding Angus bulls in quantity.
