An avid promoter of the Angus breed in the Midwest. The Bell and Sons Angus herd at Osceola, Iowa, was founded in 1937, and was one of the early participants in the Angus Herd Improvement Records program at the Association. Bell served for two terms on the American Angus Association board and served as president in 1976 and 1977.
