Decided in early 1940s to breed big, strong, functional Angus cattle. Melded three traditional bloodlines-Revolution, Marshall Pride and Eileenmere. His line-bred herd preserved many Angus characteristics that were neglected in 1950s and 60s. Herd was discovered in 1968; played a major role in the Angus breeding revolution that began about that time.
