A co-owner of the famous Escher and Ryan herd in Irwin, Iowa. Purchased the McHenry herd along with the premier sire, Earl Marshall. They bred and showed many International Livestock Exposition grand champions. One of the most influential of the early 20th century herds, it was dispersed in 1919 for an average of 2,200.
