Master feeder, fitter, showman and Angus breeder. Managed W.A. McHenry herd from 1900 to 1916, where he helped make the breeding decision that produced Earl Marshall, the Angus Breeds most influential sire. Established El-Jon herd at Rose Hill, Iowa. He was a judge of Angus cattle and served as president of the Association in 1943.
