A pioneer Angus breeder from Creston, Illinois, and founder of Woodlawn Farms, the oldest family-run Angus operation in America. A promoter of Angus cattle and Angus steers for many years, he was breeder of the premier sire, Black Woodlawn, and of Advance, the first grand champion steer of the International Livestock Exposition.
