Young Angus exhibitors from across the country exhibited 149 entries at the 2026 Atlantic National Regional Preview Junior Angus Show, May 23 in Timonium, Md. Jeff Gooden, Oak Grove, Mo, evaluated the 88 owned females, 27 bred-and-owned females, six bred-and-owned bulls, one cow-calf pair and 18 steers. Scott Greiner, Blacksburg, Va., evaluated the nine phenotype and genotype females.
Piper Cates, Modoc, Ind., claimed grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors with SSF Sanctuary 1175. He’s a January 2025 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 and first claimed junior calf champion.
Everly Foster, Niles, Mich., owns the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull, Seldom Rest Blackjack 507N. He is an October 2025 son of KR Casino 6243 and first won fall calf champion.
Ashton Dillow, Villa Ridge, Ill., led the grand champion owned female, PVF Blackbird 5012. The February 2025 daughter of PVF Marvel 9185 first won junior calf champion – division 2.
PVF Proven Queen 5043 won reserve grand champion owned female honors. Caden Crain, Mounds, Ill., own the March 2025 daughter of PVF Marvel 9185 that first won junior calf champion – division 1.
Seldom Rest Lucy 69N claimed third place overall owned champion female for Payton Scott, Gordon, Neb. The April 2025 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first claimed reserve junior calf champion – division 1.
Mercedes Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., led the fourth place overall owned champion female, Seldom Rest Cassandra 9N. The January 2025 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first won reserve junior calf champion – division 2.
Oakley Phyllis 402 claimed fifth place overall owned champion female for Blake Begoon, Grottoes, Va. The February 2024 daughter of Collison Alpha 028 first won junior champion.
Houston Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female, Ferree Fitz Phyllis 2515. The January 2025 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first won junior calf champion.
SSF Proven Queen 4305 won reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female honors. Piper Cates owns the April 2025 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 that first won reserve junior calf champion.
CLF Phyllis 145N claimed third place overall bred-and-owned champion female for Tucker Bayer, Ringle, Wis. The September 2025 daughter of BNWZ Dignity 8017 first claimed fall calf champion.
Madison Stratton, Appomattox, Va., led the fourth place overall bred-and-owned champion female, EGF Proven Queen 5225. The May 2025 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077 first won summer calf champion.
BNWZ Sara's Dream 5102 claimed fifth place overall bred-and-owned champion female for Kayden Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind. The June 2025 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first claimed reserve summer calf champion.
Madison Stratton, Appomattox, Va., showed the grand champion cow-calf pair. K & J CCW Lady 9172 is the September 2022 daughter of K C F Bennett Const G519. An October 2025 bull calf sired by EGF Outlaw 1010 completes the winning duo.
BNWZ Steer 5049 won grand champion steer. Lexiann Little, Michigan City, Ind., owns the May 2025 son of Seldom Rest Regulate 0105.
Jensen Ralphie 584 of FAF won grand champion bred-and-owned steer and reserve grand champion steer. Callie Jensen, Plainfield, Iowa, owns the April 2025 son of STAG Good Times 201 ET.
Lindsey Grim, Dover, Pa., owns the reserve bred-and-owned grand champion steer. Shady Dell No Limit 328 is a March 2025 son of Conley No Limit.
CarDon Craftsman 227 of 1056 won grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show for Bryce Hofing, Coatesville, Ind. The May 2025 daughter of Connealy Craftsman first claimed division 2 champion.
Elizabeth Kendig, Chatham, Va., led the reserve grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. KA Heat Seeker Burgess 501 is the September 2025 daughter of Baldridge Heat Seeker H925 and first won division 1 champion.
