Junior Angus exhibitors led 155 entries at the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic (MAJAC) Regional Preview Show, March 13-15 in Harrisonburg, Va. Jake Scott, Gordon, Neb., evaluated the 72 owned females, 20 bred-and-owned females, 37 steers, 11 bred-and-owned steers, five bred-and-owned bulls, one owned cow-calf pair, 39 Angus-based crossbred steers and nine phenotype and genotype females.
Kenzie Clark, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., led the grand champion bred-and-owned bull. 3C Davis 531 is a January 2025 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. He first won junior calf champion.
Pipe Creek Split Decision won the title of reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Owen Miller, Gaston, Ind., owns the March 2025 son of PVF Insight 0129. He first won reserve junior calf champion.
Keely Shultz, Danielsville, Ga., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female. KLCS MK Glorious Nikki is a February 2025 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. She first won junior calf champion.
Brenna Bartlow, Monticello, Ill., showed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female. BLB SCC Phyllis 532 is a March 2025 daughter of SCC WB 2 Point Ohhh 292. She first won reserve junior calf champion.
SCC Phyllis 535 won grand champion owned female for Hayden Hahn, Rocky Ridge, Md. The March 2025 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077 first claimed junior calf champion – division 1.
James Mullinix, Damascus, Md., showed the reserve grand champion owned female. CMF WRA Blackbird 2502 is an April 2025 daughter of CMF Zeus. She first won reserve junior calf champion – division 1.
K & J CCW Lady 9172 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Madison Stratton, Appomattox, Va., owns the September 2022 daughter of K C F Bennett Const G519. An October 2025 bull calf sired by EGF Outlaw 1010 completes the winning pair.
Atleigh Hoy, Westminster, Md., led the grand champion steer. FSC Vegas 513 is a March 2025 son of Riverstone Vegas 49H.
Keaton Shultz, Danielsville, Ga., showed the reserve grand champion steer. KLCS MK Mikey is a September 2024 son of PVF Blacklist 7077.
Kinleigh Grim, Thomasville, Pa., showed the grand champion bred-and-owned steer. Beaver Creek RIP 569 is a February 2025 son of Beaver Creek RIP 033.
Lindsey Grim, Dover, Pa., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned steer. Shady Dell No Limit 328 is a March 2025 son of Conley No Limit.
Beaver Creek Dorinda 593 won grand champion phenotype and genotype female for Kinleigh Grim. She is the May 2025 daughter of Aberan Churchill 034J. She first claimed division 2 champion.
Helen Farmer, Gretna, Va., led the reserve grand champion phenotype and genotype female. Daltons Rita 4310 is the September 2024 daughter of Connealy Commerce.
