Angus Champions Named at 2025 Missouri State Fair

Exhibitors led 172 entries at the 2025 Missouri State Fair Angus Show.

Exhibitors led 172 entries at the 2025 Missouri State Fair Angus Show, August 8 in Sedalia, Mo. Bruce and Amie Stertzbach, both of Louisville, Ohio, evaluated the 106 females, 28 bulls and four cow-calf pairs; and Steve Patton and Karson Patton, both of Frankfort, Ind., evaluated the 34 phenotype and genotype bulls and heifers before selecting champions.

WB Thumbs Up 327 claimed grand champion and senior champion bull honors. Thummel Angus, Sheridan, Mo., owns the September 2023 son of PVF Blacklist 7077.

Kennedy Burns, Oxford, Iowa, owns the reserve grand champion bull. Burns GAF Chicken Nugget is a March 2024 son of Conley No Limit. He earlier won junior champion.

CMFM Forever Lady M015 captured grand champion female for Jace Pipkin, Republic, Mo. The March 2024 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first won late junior champion.

Ellie Dill, Marshfield, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion female. EXAR Princess 4815 is a September 2024 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 and first won early senior calf champion.

WB Princess 321 was named grand champion cow-calf pair. Burton Hulse, Hannibal, Mo., owns the April 2023 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. A March 2025 heifer calf sired by Stevenson Turning Point completes the winning pair.

Lane Pohlman, Oak Ridge, Mo., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair.  Birks Lady Lola 3110 is an April 2023 daughter of Deer Valley Optimum 9246. An April 2025 heifer calf sired by PVF DLX King Pin 0058 completes the winning duo.

Kipton Thummel, Ravenwood, Mo., showed the grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. TA Lass 36 is the September 2023 daughter of Linz Exemplify 71124. 

Hunter Camirand, Cole Camp, Mo., led the reserve grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Valley View Erin 3124 is the March 2024 daughter of GB Fireside 115. 

Viebrock Margin Call 4052 was named grand champion bull in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Leigha Viebrock, Cole Camp, Mo., owns the June 2024 son of Linz Margin Call 1942. He also won intermediate champion in the open show.

B&M Commerce 315 won reserve grand champion bull in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Alexander Land & Cattle, Linneus, Mo., owns the October 2023 son of Connealy Commerce.
