Champions named at 2025 National Junior Angus Show
Over 550 Angus juniors and their families traveled to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the 2025 National Junior Angus Show (NJAS).

Over 550 Angus juniors and their families traveled to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the 2025 National Junior Angus Show (NJAS) June 28-July 5 at Expo Square.
National Junior Angus Association (NJAA) members had an exciting road trip "Moovin’ Down Route 66” as they exhibited 925 entries during the weeklong event that included more than a dozen educational contests in addition to the cattle show.
Charlie Boyd, May’s Lick, Ky., judged owned heifers; Blake Boyd, also of May’s Lick, Ky., assisted in judging 497 owned heifers; Jeff Gooden, Oak Grove, Mo., judged the 179 bred-and-owned heifers, 54 bred-and-owned bulls, nine bred-and-owned cow-calf pairs and 14 owned cow-calf pairs; Reed Gooden, Warsaw, Mo., assisted in judging the bred-and-owned heifers and bulls, and bred-and-owned and owned cow-calf pairs; Scott Greiner, Christiansburg, Va., judged the 68 steers; and Ryan Rathmann, Lubbock, Texas, judged the 86 phenotype and genotype heifers and 18 phenotype and genotype bulls.
Kaylee Langford, Breckenridge, Texas, led the grand champion owned female. UDE Saras Dream 4010 is a February 2024 daughter of BNWZ Dignity 8017 and first won junior champion – division 5.
Suter Clark, Gretna, Va., led the reserve grand champion owned female. Seldom Rest Cassandra 4123 is a May 2024 daughter of BNWZ Dignity 8017 and first won intermediate champion – division 2.
Ashton Dillow, Villa Ridge, Ill., won third place overall champion owned female with PVF Proven Queen 4087. She is the April 2024 daughter of BLC/MLA Omega 2258 and first claimed junior champion – division 1.
Josie Phillips, Maysville Ky., led the fourth place overall champion owned female. JCC Lola 411 is the March 2024 daughter of BRDG Mahogany Prime 904B and first claimed junior champion – division 3.
Alli Perry, Fayetteville, Tenn., captured fifth place overall champion owned female with BNWZ Sara's Dream 4212. She is the March 2024 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 and first claimed reserve junior champion – division 3.
Cealy Bedwell, Holt, Mo., received the Robert and Marillyn Schlutz Angus Scholarship and captured grand champion bred-and-owned female honors with CB WB Princess 431. The June 2024 daughter of PVF DLX King Pin 0058 first won intermediate champion – division 2.
Case Conley, Sulphur, Okla., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female, Conley Sandy 2461. The August 2024 daughter of Ferree Fitz Black Label 2229 was first named intermediate champion – division 1.
Alyson Friesen, Arnett, Okla., won third place overall champion bred-and-owned female with Seldom Rest Diva Bardot 4048. She is the March 2024 daughter of BNWZ Dignity 8017 and first claimed junior champion – division 1.
Brax Friedrich, Stephenville, Texas, led the fourth place overall champion bred-and-owned female. A1 Princess 404 is the March 2024 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303 and first claimed reserve junior champion – division 1.
Tucker Bayer, Ringle, Wis., captured fifth place overall champion bred-and-owned champion female with CLF Pin Up Gal 40M. She is the February 2024 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 and first claimed junior champion – division 2.
Payton Scott, Gordon, Neb., won grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors with KR Creed 4089. The February 2024 son of PVF DLX King Pin 0058 first won junior champion.
Brax Friedrich led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. A1 Mahomes 406 is a May 2024 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 and was first named intermediate champion.
Cailee Flood, Oakdale, Calif., showed the grand champion owned cow-calf pair. RW Saras Dream 310 is a May 2023 daughter of BRDG Mahogany Prime 904B and first topped the young pair division. A May 2025 heifer calf sired by V A R Cornerstone 1315 completed the winning duo.
Brenna Bartlow, Monticello, Ill., led the reserve grand champion owned cow-calf pair. SCC SFC Phyllis 324 is a February 2023 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET. A March 2025 daughter of SCC WB 2 Point Ohhh 292 is at side. The pair first won reserve champion young pair.
Kelsey Theis, Leavenworth, Kan., received the Joel Harrison Memorial Angus Scholarship and claimed grand champion bred-and-owned cow-calf pair with AVF Sara 6882, an October 2022 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET. A November 2024 heifer calf sired by S A V Bismarck 5682 was at side. The duo first won champion young pair.
Case Conley captured reserve grand champion bred-and-owned cow-calf pair with Conley Georgina 3231. The January 2023 daughter of Conley Lead The Way 0738 had a March 2025 daughter of E&B Confederate 507 at side. They first won reserve champion young pair.
Tre Broome, Edmond, Okla., earned grand champion steer honors with Mr Black 04G. He is the May 2024 son of PVF Blacklist 7077.
Bristol Lovett, Bladen, Neb., claimed reserve grand champion steer with 64 On Time 2413. He is a February 2024 son of STAG Good Times 201 ET.
Callie Jensen, Plainfield, Iowa, claimed bred-and owned grand champion steer with Jensen Pedro 448. He is a February 2024 son of STAG Good Times 201 ET.
Connor Suits, Rantoul, Ill., earned reserve grand champion bred-and-owned steer with Suits High Roller 3294. He is a March 2024 son of Riverstone Vegas 49H.
Kaylan Kiser, Proctor, Texas, showed the grand champion female in phenotype and genotype portion of show. Wilks Rita 4218 is the January 2024 daughter of Connealy Craftsman and first won division 3 champion.
Gage Long, Vinita, Okla., showed the grand champion bred-and-owned female and reserve grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Long Lucy 408 is the March 2024 daughter of Yon Saluda and first won owned and bred-and-owned division 3 champion.
Denton Cook, Foss, Okla., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. JDD Beauty M42 is the February 2024 daughter of Yon Top Cut G730. She first claimed bred-and-owned division 3 champion.
Ellie Laflin, Olsburg, Kan., showed the grand champion bull in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Laflins Ramesses 3695 is the October 2023 son of Boyd Justification and first won division 4 champion.
Anna Parr, Mason City, Ill., led the reserve grand champion bull in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Parr Reality 4P24 is the August 2024 son of Parr Reality 1P14. He first claimed division 2 champion.
