Champions Selected at 2025 Kansas Junior Angus Show

Kansas junior Angus members led 102 entries at the 2025 Kansas Junior Angus Association Preview Show.

Kansas junior Angus members led 102 entries at the 2025 Kansas Junior Angus Association Preview Show, June 7-8 in Hutchinson, Kan. Jim Pipkin, Republic, Mo., evaluated eight bred-and-owned bulls, 54 owned females, 12 bred-and-owned females, two cow-calf pairs, nine registered Angus steers and 17 phenotype and genotype females before choosing winners.

Laflins Ramesses 3695 was named grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Ellie Laflin, Olsburg, Kan., owns the October 2023 son of Boyd Justification.

Ellie Laflin also led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Laflins Dynasty 417 is a September 2024 son of BNWZ Dignity 8017. 

MLA Proven Queen 2447 won grand champion owned female. Cohen Navinsky, Easton, Kan., owns the April 2024 daughter of ROSE MC Encore 0463.

BOY Angel 3162 won reserve grand champion owned female. Clara Stump, Saint John, Kan., owns the September 2023 daughter of BNWZ Dignity 8017.

Dal Porto Sandy 3612 claimed third overall champion owned female for Eli Atkisson, Stockton, Kan. She is the December 2023 daughter of BNWZ Dignity 8017.

Clara Stump led the fourth overall champion owned female, BOY Blackbird M203. She is the September 2024 daughter of BNWZ Dignity 8017.

WB Northern Miss 426 claimed fifth overall champion owned female for Addison Burns, Valley Falls, Kan. She is the May 2024 daughter of PVF DLX King Pin 0058.

Cohen Navinsky led the grand champion bred-and-owned female. Navinsky Bros Elsa 4959 is an April 2024 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET. 

AVF Sara 6884 was named reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female. Kelsey Theis, Leavenworth, Kan., owns the October 2024 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153.

Navinsky Bros Elsa 4759 claimed third overall champion bred-and-owned female for Broxton Navinsky, Easton, Kan. She is the May 2024 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET.

Eli Atkisson led the fourth overall champion bred-and-owned female, ATK Lucy 4102. She is the April 2024 daughter of Riverstone Vegas 49H. 

AVF Sara 0494 claimed fifth overall champion bred-and-owned female for Kelsey Theis. She is the November 2024 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153.

Kelsey Theis led the grand champion cow-calf pair. RW Saras Dream 308 is the April 2023 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. A March 2025 bull calf sired by Bar S Cowboy Up 3452 completes the winning duo.

Moore Burns Elba 23S12 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair for Jett McCurry, Colwich, Kan.  She is the April 2023 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. A May 2025 heifer calf sired by C-4 GCC Play it Safe H420 is at side.

TT Handsome 438 claimed grand champion Angus steer. Eli Atkisson owns the March 2024 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.

Hinrichsen Mav 434 was named grand reserve champion Angus steer. Lilly Hinkson, Cottonwood Falls, Kan., owns the April 2024 son of Hinrichsen Marksman 1012.

Macey Lewis, Iola, Kan., showed the grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. PRDX Erica 422 3616 is the September 2023 daughter of SG Salvation.

Christan Kucan, Holton, Kan., led the reserve grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. T Bar T Star 206M is the September 2024 daughter of Bear Mtn North Star.
