Winners Chosen at Central Illinois Preview Show

Angus enthusiasts led 100 entries at the 2024 Central Illinois Angus Association Preview Show, May 31, in Bloomington, Ill. John McCurry, Hutchinson, Kan., evaluated the six bulls, 83 females, eight steers and three cow-calf pairs.

Henning Rocketman 3016 earned grand champion bull honors after first winning junior champion. Evan Henning, Clinton, Wis., owns the March 2023 son of BNWZ Dignity 8017.

Cody York, Palestine, Ill., owns the reserve grand champion bull. York Farms Knight Rider 2259 is a September 2022 son of Ellingson Rider Pride 7282. He first won senior champion.

DDA Northern Miss 2318 won grand champion female. Max Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the May 2023 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. She first won intermediate champion.

Lemenager Proven Queen L14 was named reserve grand champion female after first winning early junior champion. Paige Lemenager, Hudson, Ill., owns the February 2023 daughter of PVF Marvel 9185.

Cylee Kirchner, Leaf River, Ill., showed the third overall champion female. CK3 Barbara K69 is the October 2022 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET. She first claimed senior champion.

HTF Lady 2317 was named fourth overall champion female after first winning reserve early junior champion. Brode Bergman, Mason City, Ill., owns the January 2023 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.

Ashton Dillow, Villa Ridge, Ill., showed the fifth overall champion female. PVF SFA Missie 3071 is the March 2023 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET. She first claimed late junior calf champion.

BM Miles 348 won grand champion steer. Berklee Bedel, Saybrook, Ill., owns the March 2023 son of STAG Good Times 201 ET.

Chandler Jones, Gridley, Ill., exhibited the reserve grand champion steer. FSC French FRY 17L is a February 2023 son of STAG Good Times 201 ET.

Anne Dameron, Towanda, Ill., captured grand champion cow-calf pair honors. Dameron C-5 Lucy 2242 is a June 2022 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. An April 2024 heifer calf sired by Bear Mtn Bullet Proof is at side.

            DDA Northern Miss 2211 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Reese Anderson, Chrisman, Ill., owns the April 2022 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077. A March 2024 bull calf sired by Barstow Cash completes the winning pair.
