Champions selected at 2024 Eastern Regional Junior Angus Show
Junior Angus exhibitors led 239 entries at the 2024 Eastern Regional Junior Angus Show, June 7-9 in Harrisburg, Pa. Britney Creamer, Montrose, Colo., evaluated the 100 owned females, 58 bred-and-owned females, nine bred-and-owned bulls, 38 steers, and five cow-calf pairs. David Dal Porto, Anselmo, Neb., evaluated the 29 phenotype and genotype females.
Madison Stratton, Appomattox, Va., led the grand champion bred-and-owned bull. EGF Outlaw 1010 is an October 2022 son of PVF Blacklist 7077. He first won senior champion.
Egf Ringer 1053 claimed reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors after first claiming senior calf champion. Stratton owns the October 2023 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.
SCC SFC Phyllis 324 was named grand champion owned female. Brenna Bartlow, Monticello, Ill., owns the February 2023 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET. She first won junior champion – division 2.
Dameron C-5 Nellie 2145 earned reserve grand champion owned female honors after first winning senior champion. Quentin Day, Lovington, Ill., owns the September 2022 daughter of PVF Marvel 9185.
Adam Miller, Gridley, Ill., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female. PVF Blackbird 3152 is a September 2023 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET. She first won senior calf champion.
Dameron Primrose 2146 was named reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female after first winning senior champion. Max Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the September 2022 daughter of PVF Marvel 9185.
Kadyn Harris, Staunton, Va., exhibited the grand champion cow-calf pair. M C Missie 2015 is the February 2022 daughter of Silveiras Forbes 8088. Her calf is an April 2024 daughter sired by M C Stunner 0026.
Allison Davis, Shelbyville, Tenn., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. AED Rita 037H is a December 2020 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077. Her calf is a September 2023 heifer sired by OHL Gunner 7263G.
Ella Michael, Fishersville, Va., led the grand champion steer. SC ZMC Marv is a February 2023 son of PVF Marvel 9185.
Connor Mullinix, Damascus, Md., owns the reserve grand champion steer. BV Bandit 27 is a February 2023 son of Silveiras Forbes 8088.
Brooke Davis, Belmont, Wis., showed the grand champion female in phenotype and genotype portion of the show. Marda Asti 322 is the December 2022 daughter of Crouch Congress and first won division 4 champion.
Madalyn Carpenter, Ansonville, N.C., led the reserve grand champion female in the phenotype and genotype portion of the show. EBS Miss Diamond 070R-422 is the October 2023 daughter of Connealy Craftsman. She first claimed division 1 champion.
