Angus Champions Named at 2023 Missouri State Fair
Exhibitors led 154 entries at the 2023 Missouri State Fair Angus Show, August 11 in Sedalia, Mo. Mark Core, Pleasantville, Iowa, evaluated the 123 females, 27 bulls and four cow-calf pairs before selecting champions.
BNWZ Executive Decision 2219 claimed grand champion and junior champion bull honors. Hunter Angus, Fair Grove, Mo., and Kayden Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., own the February 2022 son of PVF Insight 0129.
Circle M, Rockwall, Texas, owns the reserve grand champion bull. CMFM Cash K05 is a March 2022 son of Silveiras Forbes 8088. He earlier won reserve junior champion.
DRI ROSE Annie Lu K237 captured grand champion female for Blake Freeman, Koshkonong, Mo. The April 2022 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153 first won late junior champion.
Olivia Gerloff, Bland, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion female. Hillard Pride Ever 2041 is a February 2022 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153 and first won early junior champion.
Wallace Frontier Gal 184 was named grand champion cow-calf pair. Addison Ward, Oak Grove, Mo., owns the March 2021 daughter of Conley Express 7211. A May 2023 heifer calf sired by Stevenson Turning Point completes the winning pair.
Ashlyn Richardson, Lincoln, Mo., owns the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Richardson Jewel 0619 is a November 2020 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. A June 2023 heifer calf sired by Richardson TurningPoint 068 completes the winning pair.
