Champions Selected at Missouri Angus Preview Show
Angus enthusiasts exhibited 153 entries at the 2023 Missouri Angus Association Preview Show, June 11 in Sedalia, Mo. Josh Taylor, Perkins, Okla., evaluated 139 females, 11 bulls, three steers and one cow-calf pair before naming the winners.
FairOaks Susan 210 won the honors of grand champion female after being named early intermediate champion. Samuel Jordan, Savannah, Mo., owns the August 2022 daughter of STAG Good Times 201 ET.
Hillard Pride Ever 2041 claimed reserve grand champion female honors after claiming reserve early junior champion for Olivia Gerloff, Bland, Mo. She is the February 2022 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153. She also claimed champion Jackpot heifer.
Wheeler Hunters Ted Lasso won the title of grand champion bull. Rance Wheeler, Paris, Mo., owns the September 2022 son of BNWZ Dignity 8017. He first claimed senior calf champion.
Mead Revival V3107 was awarded reserve grand champion bull after claiming senior champion. Annaliese Mead, Barnett, Mo., owns the September 2021 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
Addison Ward, Oak Grove, Mo., owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. Wallace Frontier Gal 184 is a March 2021 daughter of Conley Express 7211. A May 2023 daughter of Stevenson Turning Point completes the winning pair.
Conley Cline 266 won grand champion steer. Kye Lehenbauer, Palmyra, Mo., owns the May 2022 son of Conley Lead The Way 0738.
Tyler Meier, Jackson, Mo., showed the reserve grand champion steer. Raithel CR Express 200 is the March 2022 son of Conley Express 7211. He also claimed champion Jackpot steer.
