Delegate nominations are open for the 143rd Annual Convention of Delegates. The meeting will take place November 16th in Louisville, Kentucky, in conjunction with Angus Convention. Delegates serve as an important part of the democratic process, which governs and guides the American Angus Association^®. They are elected by the membership body to represent their respective state or district at the annual meeting where delegates will conduct business and elect members to the Association's Board of Directors. 

The nomination period for the 2026 elections is open April 20 through June 19. To take part, members must have met voting eligibility requirements by April 17th.  Members can check their eligibility status in their AAA Login account by going to My Account>My AAA Member Information. Eligible members can nominate or be nominated by a member who lives in the same herd state or district; they can also nominate themselves. Nominees should be highly involved in the Angus business, willing to attend the meeting and able to represent Angus breeders.  

A link to the nomination form and a unique pin will be emailed at the start of the nomination period to all eligible voting active life and regular Association members with an email address on file. Physical copies of the nomination form will be mailed to eligible voting members without an email address on file. Nominations submitted online or by mail must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. CDT on June 19. 

Following the close of the nomination period, qualified nominees will be listed on a state/district ballot sent to all eligible voting members in July to vote for the final slate of state/district delegates to the 143rd Annual Convention of Delegates. The annual meeting will be held in conjunction with the 2026 Angus Convention and Angus events at the NAILE, November 13-16.
