As spring starts to brighten Saint Joseph, Missouri, and the grounds of the American Angus Association® begin to green, there’s no better time to leave a lasting impression. Through the Building an Angus Legacy campaign, Angus breeders, junior program alumni and friends of the breed can secure a personalized granite paver along the Association’s front walkway, an area members and guests pass daily as they visit and tour the headquarters.
An unrestricted, tax-deductible gift of $300 to the Angus Foundation reserves a 6-by-12-inch engraved paver. Each contribution supports the Foundation’s mission to advance Angus education, youth and research initiatives that ensure a strong future for the breed.
“The Angus Foundation is grateful for the members of the Angus family who have already contributed to Building an Angus Legacy,” said Jaclyn Boester, Angus Foundation executive director. “As more visitors stop by the Association this spring and throughout the year, we look forward to sharing their stories through the pavers and continuing the tradition of honoring those who support our mission.”
The walkway was redesigned in 2013, and each granite paver serves as a meaningful recognition opportunity. Donors often use their paver to commemorate a family farm, honor a loved one or represent their state or local association. With the change of seasons bringing renewed activity to the Association office, the engraved pavers stand as a visible reminder of the people and stories shaping the Angus breed.
Pavers are available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. To place an order, contact the Angus Foundation at 816‑383‑5100. Orders may also be submitted by mail to 3201 Frederick Ave., Saint Joseph, MO 64506 or online at www.angus.org/foundation.
