Data Deletion Policy for Applications on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store
At the American Angus Association, we are committed to protecting the privacy and data of our users. This Data Deletion Policy outlines the steps for deleting the Angus Mobile app, as well as the description for which we store customer and animal data. Data Retention:
The American Angus Association will, on request, deactivate a customer account as well as registered animal data. Customer, animal, and genetic information will be retained at an unlimited term for specifically legal, statistical, and research purposes because of the linkages between ranch, farm, and breeder agencies that buy and sell the Angus registered cattle throughout the cattle industry.
Deleting App Data on an Android Device:
You can remove the app data stored on your Android device by following these steps:
- Open the Settings app
- Tap on Apps
- Tap on the Angus Mobile app to clear data
- Tap on Storage
- Tap on Clear Date
- Tap on OK to confirm
Deleting App Data on an Apple Device:
When you delete an app from Settings > General > iPhone Storage, you'll ensure that all related app data and documents are also deleted.
To delete application data from iCloud, go to Settings > your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage, select an app, and tap the "Delete" option.
Email Notification:
Once you have successfully removed Angus Mobile and associated data, we recommend sending an email to angus@angus.org to inform us about your app removal. This step is optional but can help ensure we know about your experience with the mobile application.
