Juniors Parade Champions at 2021 Atlantic National Regional Preview Show
Young Angus exhibitors from across the country exhibited 237 entries at the 2021 Atlantic National Regional Preview Junior Angus Show, May 29 in Lebanon, Tenn. Andy Higgins, Auburntown, Tenn., evaluated the 156 owned females, 54 bred-and-owned females, 11 bred-and-owned bulls, one cow-calf pair and 15 steers before selecting champions.
Zach McCall, Greenville, Va., claimed grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors with M C SSF Night Sky 9088. He’s a September 2019 son of S&R Roundtable J328. He first claimed senior champion.
Zach McCall also showed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull, M C Casino 0020. He’s a January 2020 son of KR Casino 6243. He first won junior champion.
Houston Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., led the grand champion owned female, SSF Lady 5030. The May 2020 daughter of Conley Express 7211 first won summer calf champion.
UDE Blackbird 0153 won reserve grand champion owned female honors. Mercedes Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., owns the February 2020 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 that first won early spring calf champion.
Allison Davis, Shelbyville, Tenn., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female, AED Rita 821F. The November 2018 daughter of PVF Insight 0129 first won senior champion.
Dameron Primrose 0186 won reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female honors. Jack Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the October 2020 daughter of Conley Express 7211 that first won fall calf champion.
Allison Davis led the grand champion cow-calf pair. AED Rita 627D is a November 2016 daughter of SAC Conversation. A December 2020 heifer calf sired by PVF Blacklist 7077 completes the winning pair.
Bushs Wayne won grand champion steer. Charlee Jones, Gridley, Ill., owns the April 2020 son of Jace Rare Find 6503.
Catherine Cowles, Rockfield, Ky., owns the reserve grand champion steer. Covells Black Ops is a March 2020 son of PVF Blacklist 7077.
Mc Cauley Bravo H2 won grand champion bred-and-owned steer. Adam McCauley, Cynthiana, Ky., owns the April 2020 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
Allison Davis owns the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned steer champion. AED Brutus 003H is a March 2020 son of Conley Symmetry 7546.
