Champions Selected at All-American Angus Breeders’ Futurity Junior Show
Angus youth led 134 entries at the 2021 All-American Angus Breeders’ Futurity Junior Show, June 12 in Louisville, Ky. Zach Butler, Milton, Tenn., evaluated 87 owned females, 30 bred-and-owned females, eight bred-and-owned bulls, six cow-calf pairs, and three steers before choosing the winners.
SSF Lady 5030 was named supreme champion and grand champion owned female. Houston Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., owns the May 2020 daughter of Conley Express 7211. She first won intermediate champion.
Montana Hulsmeyer, Harrod, Ohio, led the reserve grand champion owned female after winning early junior champion. SCC SFC Sheza Queen 025 is a February 2020 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303.
Seldom Rest Pin Up Gal 0030 won third overall owned champion female. Gordon Clark, Gretna, Va., owns the February 2020 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153. She first won reserve early junior champion.
William Pender, Cullman, Ala., owns the fourth overall owned champion female. Diamond T Saras Dream 0315 is the October 2020 daughter of SCC Tradition of 24 that first won senior calf champion.
FCF R&K Proven Queen 023 won fifth overall owned champion female. Lauren Wolter, Aviston, Ill., owns the March 2020 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153. She first won late junior champion.
PVF Blackbird 0207 won grand champion bred-and-owned champion female. Amelia Miller, Gridley, Ill., owns the January 2020 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077 that first won junior champion.
Maggie Davis, Bidwell, Ohio, led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned champion female. DCC Peg 1979 is a November 2019 daughter of PHF/DC King George 725. She first claimed senior champion.
VA DS Saras Dream 0917 won third overall bred-and-owned champion female. Jacob Marksbury, Buffalo, Ky., owns the September 2020 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. She first won senior calf champion.
Houston Ferree led the fourth overall bred-and-owned champion female. Colburn Saras Dream 0720 is a December 2020 daughter of Silveiras S Sis GQ 2353 and first claimed reserve senior calf champion.
Voyager Georgina 8691 won fifth place overall bred-and-owned champion female after first claiming reserve junior champion. Jacob Marksbury owns the January 2020 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153.
Hinrichsen Top Secret 013 earned grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors. Eva Hinrichsen, Westmoreland, Kan., owns the March 2020 son of Schilling’s R&L Confidential. He first claimed junior champion.
BJF KCC Spade 0660 was selected as the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Taylor Jeffries, Canmer, Ky., owns the June 2020 son of TC Thunder 7508. He first won intermediate champion.
Suter Clark, Gretna, Va., owns the grand champion cow-calf pair. Seldom Rest Sandy 9080 is a May 2019 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B. A March 2021 bull calf sired by Deer Valley Growth Fund completes the winning pair.
Colburn Saras Dream 9727 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Morgan Hutchins, Charleston, Ill., owns the January 2019 daughter of Dameron First Class. A February 2021 heifer calf sired by Conley South Point 8362 is at side.
Kayci Tullos, Batesville, Miss., showed the grand champion steer. Checkerhill Pablo 016 is a January 2020 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
Covells Black Ops won reserve grand champion steer. Catherine Cowles, Rockfield, Ky., owns the March 2020 son of Blacklist 7077.
