Angus Champions Named at 2020 American Royal ROV Show
Angus enthusiasts gathered for the 2020 American Royal Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, October 24 in Kansas City, Mo. Garrett Lampe, Tremont, Ill., evaluated the 232 entries, which included 194 females, 36 bulls and two cow-calf pairs.
Triple F Sara’s Dream 408 won grand champion female for Carson Rieck, Creston, Iowa. The April 2019 daughter of Plum Creek Paradox 161B first won late junior champion.
Seldom Rest Cassandra 9060 claimed reserve grand champion female for Kathryn Coleman, Modesto, Calif. The March 2019 daughter of KR Casino 6243 also won reserve late junior champion.
K Bar D and MB Angus LLC, both of Redmond, Ore., own the grand champion cow-calf pair. K Bar D Wendy 6F is a February 2018 daughter of K Bar D Joe Canada 18Y. An April 2020 heifer calf sired by K Bar D Smokin’ Joe 38F is at side.
DDA Barbara 1547 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair for Kara LeBeouf and Lani LeBeouf, both of Deridder, La. She is the September 2015 daughter of DDA Dameron Northern Light. A February 2020 bull calf sired by S&R Roundtable J328 completes the winning pair.
Silveiras Forbes 8088 claimed grand champion and senior champion bull honors. Chris and Sharon Sankey, Council Grove, Kan.; Silveira Bros., Firebaugh, Calif.; and Rockin S Ranch Inc., Riverdale, Calif., own the April 2018 son of Silveiras Style 9303.
Austin Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., owns the reserve grand champion bull. BNWZ Dignity 8017 is a September 2018 son of PVF Insight 0129. He first won reserve senior champion.
