Champions named at 2024 Cattlemen’s Congress Super Point ROV Angus Show
Angus enthusiasts led 239 entries at the 2024 Cattlemen’s Congress Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show, Jan. 3-6 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Bruce and Amie Stertzbach, Louisville, Ohio, evaluated the 194 females, 42 bulls and three cow-calf pairs.
Ferree Fitz Black Label 2229 claimed the grand champion bull title after first earning the junior champion title. Houston Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., owns the February 2022 son of PVF Blacklist 7077.
Jeff Fruhling, Homer, Ill., and Austin Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., own the reserve grand champion bull. BNWZ Paisley 2143 is a January 2022 son of PVF Insight 0129 and was first named reserve junior champion.
Jack Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the grand champion female. Seldom Rest Sandy 2030 is a February 2022 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 and first won junior champion – division 2.
Mercedes Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., claimed reserve grand champion female. Gohr Saras Dream 2020 is a February 2022 daughter of PVF Insight 0129 and first won reserve junior champion – division 2.
Greene Elba’s Mocha 2118 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Garrett Greene, Powell Butte, Ore., owns the April 2021 daughter of Greene Pokerface 1304. An April 2023 heifer calf sired by Gateway Follow Me F163 completes the winning pair.
Diamond T Saras Dream 0206 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Morgan Hutchins, Charleston, Ill., owns the July 2020 daughter of SCC Tradition of 24. An October 2023 heifer calf sired by Destiny’s American Style 304 is at side.
