Champions Named at 2023 North American International Livestock Exposition
Angus enthusiasts led 212 entries while competing for top honors at the 2023 North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show and National Angus Show, Nov. 14 in Louisville, Ky. Jeff Gooden and Reed Gooden, both of Kingsville, Mo., evaluated the 176 females, 33 bulls and three cow-calf pairs before selecting the winning animals.
BNWZ Executive Decision 2219 claimed supreme champion overall and grand champion bull honors after first winning junior champion. Hunter Angus, Fair Grove, Mo., and Kayden Nowatzke, Michigan City, Ind., own the February 2022 son of PVF Insight 0129.
RGCC Making Headlines 452 won reserve grand champion bull for Sophia Royer, New Richmond, Ind. The April 2022 son of RGCC Alibi 318 first won reserve junior champion.
EXAR Princess 2717 captured grand champion female honors for Jake Allison, Yukon, Okla. The March 2022 daughter of EXAR Express Way 1079B first won junior champion.
Anne Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the reserve grand champion female. Seldom Rest Sandy 3012 is the February 2023 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B and first claimed junior calf champion – division 3.
Smoot Moxie 2142 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Emily Jeffries, Canmer, Ky., owns the April 2021 daughter of Conley Express 7211. A July 2023 heifer calf sired by Boyd/Myers Derived M730 completes the winning pair.
KF-Patton Proven Queen 2010 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Lilly Knutson and Mackenzie Knutson, both of Ridgeland, Wis., own the April 2020 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. A May 2023 heifer calf sired by KF Power Chip 211 completes the winning pair.
