Angus Youth Parade Champions at the Iowa Junior Angus Preview Show
Iowa junior Angus members led 107 entries at the 2022 Iowa Junior Angus Preview Show, June 18 in Iowa City, Iowa. Taylor Graham, Miami, Okla., evaluated the 29 bred-and-owned females, 54 owned females, nine bred-and-owned bulls, and 15 registered steers before selecting champions.
Grand champion bred-and-owned female honors went to Collison Miss Annie Lu 167. Catie Collison, Lake City, Iowa, owns the May 2021 female sired by Colburn Primo 5153. She first won intermediate champion.
Burns Lady Dolly 21S12 was selected as reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female after first winning junior champion. The March 2021 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 is owned by Kyndall Burns, Oxford, Iowa.
Greimans Royal Blackbird 300 was named grand champion owned female after first winning the senior champion. The September 2020 daughter of Greimans Focus 86 is owned by Shelby Greiman, Goodell, Iowa.
SPL Saras Dream 2108 claimed the reserve grand champion owned female title. Lauren Phillips, Centerville, Iowa, owns the February 2021 daughter of Plum Creek Paradox 161B that first won junior champion.
Korey Moser, Larchwood, Iowa, led K&J TCF South Point 125 to grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors. The May 2021 son of Conley South Point 8362 first won intermediate champion.
TM Kruse Unbelievable 1927 claimed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull title. Tyler Murray, Buffalo Center, Iowa, owns the March 2021 bull sired by Century Unbelievable 262. He first won junior champion.
Jensen Mr Chip 162 was named grand champion steer. The April 2021 son of Jensen Double Black 639 is owned by Colby Bacon, Manson, Iowa.
Sam Greiman, Perry, Iowa, led WBSF Dr Seuss 2108 to reserve grand champion steer. He is an April 2021 son of WBSF Blueprint 1606.
Moffitt CY won grand champion bred-and-owned steer and is owned by Jillian Moffitt, Colfax, Iowa. He is the March 2021 son of Moffitt Primo M833.
Colton Becker, Atlantic, Iowa, led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned steer. BRF Duke J3 is the March 2021 son of BRF Cooper E6.
