Winners Chosen at Central Illinois Preview Show
Angus enthusiasts led 131 entries at the 2022 Central Illinois Angus Association Preview Show, June 3, in Bloomington, Ill. Bill Widerman, Union Bridge, Md., evaluated the 10 bulls, 109 females, eight steers and four cow-calf pairs.
Dameron FR Point Guard earned grand champion bull honors after first winning senior champion. Max Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the October 2020 son of Stevenson Turning Point.
Eric Schafer, Owaneco, Ill., owns the reserve grand champion bull. Schafers Breakin Da Bank 111 is a February 2021 son of FCF Leverage 641. He first won junior champion.
PVF Missie 1124 won grand champion female. Ashton Dillow, Villa Ridge, Ill., owns the September 2021 daughter of PVF Marvel 9185. She first won early fall calf champion.
4/B Miss Forever Lady J57 was named reserve grand champion female after first winning late junior champion. Paige Lemenager, Hudson, Ill., owns the March 2021 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.
Tucker Bayer, Ringle, Wis., showed the third overall champion female. FCF Phyllis 056 is the September 2020 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. She first claimed senior champion.
CK3 Phyliss J122 was named fourth overall champion female after first winning reserve late junior champion. Sophia Pyszka, La Salle, Ill., owns the April 2021 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303.
Quentin Day, Lovington, Ill., showed the fifth overall champion female. Dameron Northern Miss 1201 is the October 2021 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838. She first claimed late fall calf champion.
SC3 Star Q73 won grand champion steer. Casey Besse, Freeport, Ill., owns the February 2021 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.
Chyenne Handsaker, Pearl City, Ill., exhibited the reserve grand champion steer. Shore Acres Rip 2101 is a March 2021 son of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838.
Ashlyn Mool, Lexington, Ill., captured grand champion cow-calf pair honors. PVF Blackbird 0213 is a February 2020 daughter of Dameron First Class. A February 2022 heifer calf sired by GCC Gold Standard X615 is at side.
Kramers Lady 065 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Emily Kiesewetter, Farmington, Ill., owns the April 2020 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077. A March 2022 heifer calf sired by K A Checkmate 045 completes the winning pair.
