Juniors Parade Champions at 2022 Atlantic National Regional Preview Show
Young Angus exhibitors from across the country exhibited 147 entries at the 2022 Atlantic National Regional Preview Junior Angus Show, May 28 in Timonium, Md. Blake Boyd, May’s Lick, Ky., evaluated the 81 owned females, 33 bred-and-owned females, 12 bred-and-owned bulls, two cow-calf pairs and 19 steers before selecting champions.
Kristina Scheurman, Warsaw, Ohio, claimed grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors with SCH Presidential Power 212. He’s a January 2021 son of S A V President 6847. He first claimed junior calf champion.
Weston Haag, Plymouth, Ind., showed the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull, HAAG Blackout 2321. He’s a September 2021 son of Silveiras Style 9303. He first won reserve junior calf champion.
Houston Ferree, Sullivan, Ind., led the grand champion owned female, Conley FRKG Queen Meg 1085. The April 2021 daughter of BRDG Mahogany Prime 904B first won late spring calf champion.
BNWZ Sara’s Dream 1156 won reserve grand champion owned female honors. Landon Marshall, Weyers Cave, Va., owns the May 2021 daughter of BNWZ/SWNY Specialty 7200 that first won summer calf champion.
SCC SLL Phyllis 124 claimed third place overall owned champion female for Hayden Hahn, Rocky Ridge, Md. The February 2021 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first claimed early spring calf champion.
Ella Brooks, Prophetstown, Ill., led the fourth place overall owned champion female, SCC CB Phyllis 1114. The November 2021 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153 first won fall calf champion.
Diamond T Saras Dream 0315 claimed fifth place overall owned champion female for William Pender, Cullman, Ala. The October 2020 daughter of SCC Tradition of 24 first claimed senior calf champion.
Allison Davis, Shelbyville, Tenn., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female, AED Rita 037H. The December 2020 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077 first won senior calf champion.
Clarkboys Sandy 0180 won reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female honors. Suter Clark, Gretna, Va., owns the October 2021 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 that first won fall calf champion.
Ferree Fitz Elisha 2141 claimed third place overall bred-and-owned champion female for Mercedes Ferree, Sullivan, Ind. The April 2021 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077 first claimed spring calf champion.
J. Gordon Clark, Gretna, Va., led the fourth place overall bred-and-owned champion female, Clarkboys SCC Ivy League 156. The May 2021 daughter of SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 first won summer calf champion.
PVF Proven Queen 1033 claimed fifth place overall bred-and-owned champion female for Amelia Miller, Gridley, Ill. The February 2021 daughter of PVF Marvel 9185 first claimed reserve spring calf champion.
Madison Statton, Appomattox, Va., led the grand champion cow-calf pair. Snyders CCW Proven Queen 214 is a February 2019 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153. A March 2022 heifer calf sired by SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 completes the winning pair.
AED Rita 821F won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Allison Davis owns the November 2018 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. A November 2021 heifer calf sired by Conley Express 7211 is at side.
CC Primo 01 won grand champion steer. Travis Heath, Cooksville, Md., owns the April 2021 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
Kelsey Troxell, Thurmont, Md., owns the reserve grand champion steer. FDE Jester 112 is a March 2021 son of EXAR Classen 1422B.
Beaver Creek Checkers 163 won grand champion bred-and-owned steer. Kinleigh Grim, Thomasville, Pa., owns the June 2021 son of Beaver Creek Prestige 975.
Marli Phillips, Masontown, W.Va., owns the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned steer champion. PL Goose 1921 is a February 2021 son of 5T Power Chip 4790.
