85th Annual National Angus Bull Sale set to kick off in OKC

Bidding for the 85th Annual National Angus Bull Sale kicks off Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. CT during Cattlemen’s Congress in Oklahoma City. Along with the Angus Foundation’s Heifer Package, the sale offering includes 33 herd-bull prospects.  
Details on the lots available can be found in the online catalog on Pasture to Publish. Interested buyers can also request a printed catalog from the site.  
Buyers attending the sale in person are invited to spend the day at the OKC Fairgrounds. The American Angus Association® is sponsoring several events on Jan. 5, including a free luncheon and live panel discussion. See the schedule below: 

Friday, Jan. 5: 

8:30 a.m. | Angus Pen & Carload Show– Performance Arena (Judges: David Dal Porto, NE; Matt Perrier, KS; Brian McCulloh, WI) 
10:00 a.m. | Balancing the Consumer and the Cow: Live Panel Event hosted by Angus University – Performance Arena 
11:30 a.m. | Angus Luncheon featuring Certified Angus Beef - Performance Arena 
12:30 p.m. | National Angus Bull Sale Preview – Super Barn Sale Arena 
2:00 p.m. | National Angus Bull Sale – Super Barn Sale Arena 
3:45 p.m. | Angus Herdsman Social – Cattlemen’s Bar
